From September 9-12, Beyond Barriers Association (BBA) proudly hosted the third workshop of the Visual Thinking 4 You(th) project in Tirana, Albania. The event brought together 50 young participants from Albania, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Montenegro, fostering an international atmosphere of collaboration and creativity.
The focus of this workshop was to develop innovative visual thinking methodologies tailored to support dyslexic youth in overcoming learning barriers. Throughout the four-day program, participants engaged in a series of dynamic and interactive activities, including the popular “Draw Your Name” exercise, which served as an icebreaker and introduced the concept of visual self-expression.
The program also featured group challenges and hands-on sessions, where participants collaborated to create inclusive educational tools. Together, they developed creative resources such as conceptual maps, visual aids, and engaging video tutorials aimed at making learning more accessible and enjoyable for dyslexic students.
The workshop culminated in a final presentation session, where participants showcased their innovative products and shared their experiences. Each participant received a Youth Pass certificate, recognizing their active involvement and learning achievements during the workshop.
This event marked a significant step forward in advancing dyslexia inclusion, demonstrating the power of visual thinking as a tool for making education more inclusive.
