Today, on National Youth Day, Beyond Barriers in collaboration with Partners Albania is pleased to present the Monitoring Report on Political, Social and Economic Participation of Youth in Albania 2024, within the framework of the regional project “Stronger Voices for Better Choices – A Youth Hub for Western Balkans and Turkey”.

This report is the result of extensive research and analytical work, which aims to provide a clear framework on the level of youth involvement in decision-making, social life and economic processes in Albania.

A Data-Based and Collaborative Process
The drafting of the report was carried out through the collection of qualitative and quantitative data, in addition to the study of strategic documents and youth policies at the local and national levels.

This process was supported by close cooperation with partner organizations, public institutions and other actors contributing to the field of youth.

Key Findings
The report analyses three important dimensions of youth participation:

Political Participation

Social Participation

Economic Participation

The results show that Albania has made positive steps towards youth employment and education. However, important challenges remain, such as:

limitations in youth political representation,

non-involvement in decision-making processes,

and gender inequalities that continue to affect access and opportunities.

Contribution to Youth Policy

This study serves as an important information tool for policymakers, public institutions and civil society.

It aims to highlight the needs and potentials of Albanian youth and contribute to the development of more inclusive, equitable and future-oriented approaches.
