Through the project “Beyond the Numbers: Local Barriers to Political Participation for Young Women in Vlora”, implemented by Social Contract Institute (SCI), young women in Vlora transformed their experiences into concrete recommendations for more inclusive local decision-making!

✨ 30 young women contributed to research exploring the challenges limiting their civic and political participation.

📢 15 young women became part of the Young Women Advocates Coalition, strengthening their collective voice and advocacy efforts.

💡 6 policy recommendations were developed and presented to local institutions, securing commitments from municipal representatives to consider them in future planning and budgeting.

By bringing young women’s perspectives directly into dialogue with local authorities, the project contributed to greater awareness, confidence and opportunities for meaningful civic participation.
